I'm New

LifeBridge Church of South Haven is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.

What to Expect

It's tough walking into a new environment. What will it be like? How will the people treat me? What’s gonna happen there? What will they expect of me? What if I say or do something stupid?

Well, relax. You’re among friends.

Our goal is to simply give you a safe and exciting place to gather with others and explore the Christian faith. If you come and don’t “buy what we’re selling”, that’s cool. We hope you will have such an enjoyable experience that you’ll want to come back and hang out with us anyway. We believe that God wants us to love the people around us whether they agree with us or not.

We will never single you out or embarrass you. You can get as involved as you want to be, or feel free to remain anonymous. The choice is yours. You can stand when we stand and sing when we sing, or just sit in the back row and observe. The choice is yours. Our goal is to simply give you the experience and information you need to make the decisions that are right for you. We won’t pull any punches … but we won’t lay any unwelcome expectations on you either.

Got questions, our Bridge Crew is easily identifiable and there to answer any question you have. No question is stupid. We welcome the opportunity to serve you.

Our Sunday morning worship experience is a good starting point for most people.  Service times are 8:30 / 10:00 and 11:30am and last about 75 minutes each. There will be contemporary music, an easy-to-understand message and other “stuff” all designed to help you have an encounter with God. Our Bridge Kids programs run at the same time – the 8:30am service is for Babies (birth-3 years old) and our 10:00 and 11:30am programs are for all children (birth – 5th grade).

We will have free coffee available and an environment where you can hang out and meet others. Concerned about not knowing anyone there? Well, call up a friend and invite them to come and check out LifeBridge with you. Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions. We look forward to meeting you soon.

What about the whole offering thing?
We will not put a plate or basket in front of you. We have blessing boxes where people can drop their offerings if they choose; there is no expectation for everyone to participate. The offering is simply for those who believe strongly in what God is doing and want to fuel the movement so it can continue to thrive.

How should I dress?
Please don’t feel the need to dress up – or dress down. Simply wear what is comfortable for you. You can put on the ritz or wear jeans and a t-shirt. All we ask is that you wear something.

What about my kids?
Bridge Kids is a safe, age-appropriate environment for children ages birth-5th grade. Bridge Babies is for toddlers and younger while the older kids meet in The Landing. Some of our biggest fans are the kids who absolutely love BK. Our staff does an amazing job of making the Bible fun and meaningful while providing a high energy atmosphere. If you have kids, you have to bring them to check it out.

Who is the leadership of LifeBridge Church?
Milan Bittenbender is the pastor of LifeBridge church. LifeBridge is part of the Wesleyan denomination as part of the Great Lakes Region. The region acts to support and oversee the church, but the local leadership sets the direction of it’s ministries.

What is the Bridge Crew?
Our guests are a high priority at LifeBridge. From the time you walk in the door, you will know that we have been preparing for your arrival. The Bridge Crew is the team who make LifeBridge environments happen each week. If you have any questions or need anything, just look for someone in a Guest Services shirt and you will find someone who is happy to assist you in any way. The Bridge Crew is much larger than our Guest Services team, however. There are all kinds of serving roles at LifeBridge. We have a tech team, a worship band, Bridge Kids check-in specialists, safety personnel, etc.

Who is funding LifeBridge?
People like you are the driving force behind the LifeBridge movement. God is ultimately our provider, but it’s people like us that God is using to fuel this movement. Is LifeBridge part of a denomination?
LifeBridge is excited to announce that we have partnered with the Wesleyan Church and are a Wesleyan Church plant. LifeBridge has its own unique DNA with the support, encouragement and oversight of the Great Lakes Region. We are also affiliated with a church-planting organization called ARC. They provide training, coaching, and other help to launch new life-giving churches all over the country.
