Life At The Bridge 7-22-21

And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”  ~Luke 22:19

No one watches a movie to see ordinary people doing ordinary things. Every compelling story includes extraordinary actions by extraordinary people. What makes the story and message of Jesus so compelling after over 2,000 years? An extraordinary sacrifice. Jesus gave us the sacrament of communion to remember what was done for us, but also to call us into a similarly extraordinary life of our own. Join us this week as we take a moment to look at Jesus' sacrifice and interpret its meaning for our story.

We will be serving communion at LifeBridge this Sunday. For some of you just returning from the COVID break, this may be the first time you have been able to celebrate the Lord’s Supper with your church family in over a year. We hope this will be a powerful moment for everyone.
In preparation for Sunday, read Luke 22:14-27 and Luke 9:22-26. As you read, ask questions like, “What does this truly mean?” “What does this teach me about the person of Jesus?” “What does this tell me about how I should live?”, and “How are these ideas, attitudes and beliefs different (beyond ordinary) from the world around me?”

Think of someone else who is tired of living a mundane and boring life, and bring them with you to worship with us in person or online at 9:00am or 11:00am this Sunday.

Can you believe it? This Sunday will already be the last of this great series. Worship on the Riverwalk is truly a South Haven treasure that should not be missed - a great opportunity to worship with other believers in our beautiful community. Join us this Sunday, 7pm, down by the South Haven marina.

Are you looking for a space to minister a few hours a week as you love and serve people in Jesus' name? The Living Room is our coffee shop designed specifically to be an outreach hub for LifeBridge Church. You could serve for a set 3-4 hour shift one day per week, and would have the opportunity of praying with people as well as taking orders & doing some dishes when needed. To become part of this life-changing team, please contact Diane at [email protected] for available days and times.

Eight O’ Clock Encounter: Prayer is the engine behind the power and passion of a church that is on fire. Join with us at 8am Saturday morning to do the important work of seeking God in preparation for this next season of growth.  This Saturday we will meet in the church office area so please come to the north set of doors. Hope to see you there.

We are currently offering personal Communion after services each Sunday as part of your weekly worship experience. From 10:15-10:45 a.m. or 12:15-12:45 p.m., an elder will be available in the Communion Room off the Lobby, to serve you. Ask a Guest Service volunteer if you need directions.
