Life At The Bridge 6-17-21

I saved my favorite parable for last. This Sunday we will explore a story from Jesus that gives us a glimpse into the heart of our Heavenly Father and gives us insight for how to be a great father.

While questions swirl around “Who is GOD?” and “What is GOD like?”, Jesus Himself and many of the scriptures refer to Him as a Father. This was risky on God’s part, because the idea of “father” has come to carry a lot of baggage. We all have an earthly father and none of them have done it perfectly. But we are not to see our Heavenly Father through the lens of our earthly one, rather, Jesus invites us to see our earthly father through the lens of our eternal One. Since our perception is our reality, it is so important to align our perception with truth.

If you want to prepare for Sunday, read Luke 15. Be sure to reach out to someone who has a father, had a father, is a father, will be a father, loves their father or...has daddy issues, and bring them with you to worship with us in person or online at 9:00am or 11:00am this Sunday.

It's back! The Father's Day car show is back! Cars, root beer and bacon - and of course great worship, fellowship and a powerful message from God's Word. This day is sure to be a hit with the men in your life, so think of someone you want to invite...and invite them to come to church with you on June 20th as soon as possible.

Summer Camp - a time of unparalleled excitement, fun, and growth in Christ - is just around the corner. Here at LifeBridge we join with Lake Ann Camp near Traverse City, MI during the week of July 12-17, we will provide transportation to and from camp, and have scholarships available!

Sign up for Lake Ann here! And if you have any questions or would like more information about the scholarships email Justin at [email protected].  For all of our students planning to attend camp this year, please be sure to RSVP NO LATER than June 21st.  RSVPs can be sent to [email protected] or [email protected].

Save the date! We are excited to be able to once again start our MUSIC NIGHTS! Our first night kicks off this Saturday, June 19th from 6-8pm.  We will be featuring Ugandan Jazz Guitarist Ivan Akansiima for our first night of the year.

It's time for The Living Room to bring in some volunteers again! This would be a set 3-4 hour shift one day per week. You would have the opportunity of praying with people as well as taking orders & doing dishes when needed. We would love to have you be a part of our team! Please contact Diane at [email protected] for available days and times.
The Living Room is also extending their hours for summer!  Starting on Monday, June 14th, hours will be 8am-6pm from Monday through Friday and 8am-4pm on Saturdays.

Hi parents! For those who are not yet aware, our Middle School youth group is now closed for the remainder of the summer. Please be sure to stay updated on any summer activities by checking Life at the Bridge and Facebook throughout the summer! We look forward to seeing our students again in the fall.

This last Sunday (06-13-21) during our 11:00am service, there was an incident that disrupted our worship experience, commanding the attention of everyone in the room. For those of you who were not there, don’t worry. No one was hurt. For those of you who were there, we understand you may have some questions or concerns. You may wonder what was going on? You may want to know what we are doing as a leadership team to respond and prepare for similar incidents in the future. If you have questions, I invite you to send me (Pastor Milan) an email at [email protected]. I will be happy to connect with you or help you get connected with a staff person who can help answer your questions

Eight O’ Clock Encounter: Prayer is the engine behind the power and passion of a church that is on fire. Join with us at 8am Saturday morning to do the important work of seeking God in preparation for this next season of growth.
