Easter at LifeBridge:
Easter is the height of the Christian calendar. There is nothing more powerful for our faith than the sacrifice that was made on our behalf for the forgiveness of our sins and the resurrection of Jesus that gives us hope in the message of the Gospel. It was almost unthinkable a few weeks ago as we faced the reality that we might not be able to gather as a congregation on EASTER! But here we are. And the truth is, NOTHING in all of creation can stop us from celebrating the power of the passion of Jesus.
So, there are two things we need you to know and to lean into:
First, we want more people that ever to be able to celebrate Easter with us through a moving worship experience. We were disappointed at first to think that we couldn’t gather, but then we began to think in different terms. As nice as gathering in a building together is, there are some limitations - limitations to who can and will attend, limitations to the size of the crowd we can serve, and limitations in terms of the things we can do. We are choosing to see this as an opportunity to expand our reach even more. SO...we need you to help us get the word out!! Send an email, make a phone call, share a post...do whatever you can to spread the word that Jesus is alive and we are going to meet with a risen savior on Sunday. The theme is, “Have you met Him?” The truth is, you can’t meet a dead man. You and I missed our opportunity to meet Abraham Lincoln because we were just born at the wrong time. But because HE IS RISEN, we can still meet Jesus today. And we want people to meet him. Help us bring people into that opportunity.
Join us online this Sunday at 10am in either location:

Second, WE ARE BLESSED to BE a blessing. I never dreamed we would do this, but during my prayer time on Tuesday, God challenged me to do something we have never done before. We are going to give our entire Easter offering away! All tithes and offerings that come in to LifeBridge through online giving from yesterday (Wednesday April 7) noon through Easter Sunday at 11:59pm will be given to We Care, Jay and Julia Marcoux (who are making HUNDREDS of meals weekly for people in need), HOPE Parent Resource Center, Lifers who are making face masks and more. Instead of hoarding while people are hurting, we need to lead by setting an example of radical generosity. So, come on church - let’s see the mighty things God will do through us when we work together to serve our community!
COMMUNITY GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE: As we have done in the past, several of our local pastors and leaders have collaborated to bring you a Good Friday experience to pause and reflect on the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Join us Live on our Facebook and Website where we will stream the service at Noon on Friday.
Easter Family Activity: On Saturday evening, we will share a video with you that shows you how to prepare a tasty treat with an Easter theme and message that is especially fun with kids. If you want to join us for this Easter experience, gather these ingredients before then. If you have a shopping trip between now and Sunday, try to get:
PRAYER - UNITE714: In addition to our Saturday morning Encounter, please join together with thousands of other believers to pray for a few minutes at 7:14am and 7:14pm each day. No worries if you miss a day here or there, but let’s set the alarm on our phone to call us to set aside a few minutes each morning and evening to pray II Chronicles 7:14 kinds of prayers. Click here for more details on how hundreds of churches are rallying around this plan.
Bridge Kids devotions: Do you know who God says is responsible for discipling kids? Their parents. For some, this can seem like a daunting task. As a church, we don’t want to hijack that role - we want to support you in it. We want you to experience the joy of leading your kids in their faith journey. Lifer Nathan Prong has done an amazing job of writing a daily family devotional for parents to read with their kids each day. Please feel free to take advantage of “40 Days with Jesus”. You can find these devotionals at https://www.facebook.com/LifeBridgeKids/. If you haven’t been doing this, scroll down and start with day one. Hey, Thanks again Nathan!
Hey, thanks to all of you who gave our Midweek LIVE a shot and tuned in for some interviews that were great with content...but a little lacking in technical excellence. It turns out doing these interviews in a way that allows people to engage LIVE and ask questions is more complicated than we anticipated. We simply don’t have the tools we need to pull it off. BUT, many of you have expressed appreciation for the content of the interviews themselves. SO, we are going to continue doing Midweek LIVE events, but without the interactive part. It should be much smoother and helpful. Keep your eyes open as they will show up on Facebook at different times.
