Life At The Bridge 04-02-2020

In these days of isolation and uncertainty, I am encouraging us to enter into some times of isolation and uncertainty in the life of Jesus. Let’s sneak in through the scriptures and take a look at how Jesus responded. This is how we learn, not just the beliefs, but the ways of Jesus. Join us for LifeBridge LIVE on Facebook AND at our website - Sundays at 10am.

If you want to prepare for this Sunday’s message, you can read and pray through Matthew 26:36-46.

New livestream option on website: Some of you have expressed that you or someone you know is missing our Sunday morning Worship Experiences because you don’t have Facebook. We began livestreaming on Facebook last Summer as a way to augment our ministry to those who are not able to be in church on a Sunday for one reason or another. Now, with this being the ONLY option, we are wanting to make sure this experience is available to as many people as possible.

We installed the new tool on Wednesday and are still working on it. We hope to have it fully functional by Sunday, but these things do take time. The great feature about this is that it is easier to use than Facebook and still includes an interactive chat feature. This WILL NOT replace Facebook. We will still stream there as well.

Visit  at 10am this Sunday to access this new platform. If it isn’t working, head back over to and we will keep working til we can get it right.

Click here to learn how to host a watch party on Facebook. You can invite Lifers and not-yet Lifers to experience the Sunday Worship services with you. You never know who might accept your invitation and find themselves drawn to Jesus. Watch Parties create opportunities to connect for people that are craving connection right now.

This Sunday we will be celebrating communion together during the Worship Experience. To be prepared for this, we encourage you to get the elements ready before the service begins. Simply reserve some grape juice or wine (kool-aide, cranberry juice or even water is sufficient if you simply have no grape juice or wine on hand). Also set aside some bread or crackers and a cup for each person who will be participating. Take a few moments in prayer to consecrate the elements. This simply means to pray over them and dedicate them to the Lord’s use for your communion experience. Are you qualified to administer communion in your home? YES! IF you are a true follower of Jesus, you are part of the Holy priesthood of believers. (I Peter 2:5-9) I expect this will be a powerful time of worship.

To prepare for an Easter experience (next weekend), I also encourage you to gather some ingredients for another “activity” we will be inviting you to join us in next weekend. If you have a shopping trip between now and next Sunday, try to get:
  • One 8 count tube of large crescent rolls (small rolls are fine but large are better)
  • 1 bag of regular sized marshmallows
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter

This will supply ingredients to prepare for 4 people. Get one more tube of rolls for each additional 4 people.

PRAYER - UNITE714: In addition to our Saturday morning prayer Encounter, please join together with thousands of other believers to pray for a few minutes at 7:14am and 7:14pm each day. No worries if you miss a day here or there, but let’s set the alarm on our phone to call us to set aside a few minutes each morning and evening to pray II Chronicles 7:14 kinds of prayers. Click here for more details on how hundreds of churches are rallying around this plan.
Bridge Kids Devotions: Do you know who God says is responsible for discipling kids? Their parents. For some, this can seem like a daunting task. As a church, we don’t want to hijack that role - we want to support you in it. We want you to experience the joy of leading your kids in their faith journey. Lifer, Nathan Prong, has done an amazing job of writing a daily family devotional for parents to read with their kids each day.

Please feel free to take advantage of “40 Days with Jesus”. You can find these devotionals posted at If you haven’t been doing this, scroll down and start with day one. Hey, Thanks again Nathan!
Local Blood Drive - Opportunity to GIVE: Friday April 3, Noon-5:45 at St. Basil Church. Click here to register.

HOPE Parent Resource Center Needs Diapers: Urgent need for Size 4 and 5 diapers. Please don’t make a special trip, but put some in your cart/online order next time you shop. There is going to be a large gray bin under the canopy by the Pharmacy entrance  on Tuesdays and Fridays for drop off between 9:00am - 7:00pm. It will be marked. Our address is 901 South Bailey Ave., South Haven. We also have PayPal on our Website: to donate toward the purchase of diapers without having to get them yourself.
Helpful Tips: Kellie Haaken, a Lifer who is a licensed counselor, sent me a document of mental health and wellness tips for dealing with some of the unique challenges the current crisis is dealing us. It is three pages long, but chock full of great tips and ideas for maintaining our, dare I say sanity, during these unexpected and trying times. It was offered freely so feel free to take it or leave it.
