Life At The Bridge 02-07-2020
So, what do you think of when you think of the Ten Commandments? A list of rules? An archaic old law for a people from another time and place?
Well, maybe some of our experiences with authority figures in our lives have spoiled us or tainted our view of rules and laws...maybe. But at the same time, we all appreciate laws because they also protect us and our interests and provide the boundaries that make healthy relationships possible. And maybe God’s Ten Commandments are designed for those same purposes too. Just maybe.
Are these commands holding us back? Or are they holding us up? Join us for the next several weeks as we look at God’s Top Ten list and discover how they are designed to enhance our relationship with Him and with each other. Join us this Sunday as we discover the 2nd command and the principle of “Faithfulness”. Sundays at 10:00 and 11:30am.

NEXT Class: This Sunday you can catch Discovery 2.0. In this class, we help you discover your personality type, spiritual gifts and passions, then learn how all of that helps you to understand where you fit into God’s great plan. You’d be surprised how fun it can be to get to know yourself. February 9th, 1:00pm in a new location. Ask Guest Services or find Pastor Milan in the lobby after 2nd service. Lunch will be provided and we will supply all materials. If you have any questions, please reply to this email.
We Care Warm Your Heart Campaign: We Care has lined up a bunch of great ways you can help keep people warm this winter as you enjoy and connect with our community. Participate in one, or all, of these special events, and your donations will help We Care ensure that our neighbors in need stay warm and safe, can feed their families, and make end meets during emergencies or challenging times. Click here to see a calendar of events and ways you can help.
Some of you have been faithful to help us raise scholarship funds for camp. Lake Ann is a bit on the expensive side, but we have chosen this camp experience for LifeBridge students for many reasons. We truly believe Lake Ann consistently produces an outstanding adventure and spiritual experience for young people at such a critical stage of life. If you would like to help us make opportunities for kids to afford camp, please click here to go to our online giving portal where you can make a contribution to our camp scholarship fund.
NEW LOCATION: Holy Communion, The Lord’s Supper, The Eucharist...no matter what you call it, this small observance is a huge deal. At LifeBridge we know that for many of you this is an important, weekly reminder of God’s grace. Our Elders have graciously committed to making communion available every Sunday between services (11:10-11:30am). The new location is just inside the main lobby doors and to the left. Ask a member of our Guest Services team if you need directions to the new location. Melissa Brown has done an AMAZING job preparing this communion/prayer space. At least step in and check it out.
